Leo Selavo has received his Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. After the graduation he has worked with networked embedded systems and wireless sensor networks at the University of Virginia and the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science, and the University of Latvia.
Leo’s research focus is on wireless sensor networks and Internet of Things (WSN/IoT): the enabling technologies for pervasive and unobtrusive “macroscope,” the applications, and the way they change the world and humanity, specifically, sensory data gathering and analysis with applications to sports, entertainment, digital healthcare and intelligent transportation systems, prototyping platforms and embedded operating systems, directional communication, and effective IoT applications.
