Alexey Tatarinov (Aleksejs Tatarinovs), PhD (Dr.Sc.Ing.), senior researcher at RTU and invited scientist in IECS with extensive experience in ultrasound applications, bone and muscle biomechanics, and materials testing. Post-graduate course “Mechanics of deformable solids”. Author of 40 scientific publications (H-factor = 12) and 3 patents. A researcher and PI in numerous projects funded by the Latvian Scientific Council (LZP), SBIR NIH (USA), SBIR NASA (USA), SBIR DoD (USA), European Space Agency, EU FP7, Horizon 2020, ARTEMIS, and others. Having been engaged for many years in bone studies using ultrasound, developing multi-frequency bone ultrasonometer, application of guided ultrasonic waves in NDT, and ultrasonic testing of muscles, he is the author of the BoMUS concept, fluent in the subject of research.
