Developed technology allows continuously and remotely monitor deformation in engineering structures such as buildings, bridges, tunnels etc. using sensor nodes connected in series. Technology is based on accelerometer sensors, that measure inclinations, allowing evaluate structure deformations changes for time period. Developed technology also allows measurement of the vibrations of structure. Developed technology is based on uniques sensor wired communication solution, developed by EDI, that allows connection of several hundred sensor nodes. Potential applications of this technology involve deformation monitoring of rooftops due snow loads, deformation monitoring in buildings due nearby construction or renovation, deformation monitoring after seismic activities etc.
Technical parameters:
– Adjustable sensor number;
– Current draw per sensor node < 1mA;
– Deformation measurement accuracy 0.5 cm on 2 m long object;
– Deformation measurement sampling rate 100 Hz for 12 sensors.
