On May 13-15 of year 2022, the GLOBALSAFE hackathon on wide spectrum security innovations took place, organized by Innovation Center of University of Latvia and Ministry of Defence of Latvia.
Researcher Krisjanis Nesenbergs represented EDI as a jury member in this hackathon, and togehter with other jury members (Vilnis Ķirsis, Signe Bāliņa, Valdis Segliņš and Māra Birzniece) evaluated the innovative technologies developed by participants.
The goal of the Hackathon is to build understanding of security aspects in the everyday life of society, as well as during crisis. Students from Latvian universities competed in this hackathon to develop solutions, that would promote change in human everyday habits in relation to security.
