Objective and tasks
For a business idea to grow into a mature solution, it has to go through several development phases and for each, there are different support mechanisms. In young innovation ecosystems this support is often unequally distributed prioritizing scale-ups with relatively fast investment returns, but overlooking the need for high-quality pre-seed support. D&D project aims to fill this gap by focusing on startups with high potential mobility ideas and helping transform them into deployed prototypes. The project includes a mobility innovation contest followed by an incubation programme during which 5-8 participants will create working prototypes and deploy them in real-life urban conditions in Riga, Latvia. During the programme, the participants will work together with mentors, receive prototyping support and will have a chance to connect with local investors as well as EIT Urban Mobility Business Creation activities for further solution development.
Tasks to be performed by EDI
EDI is the project partner in charge of solution prototype development mentoring and deployment consulting.
This project is funded by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
