In the meeting, Kārlis Freivalds presented the demonstration “Reconfigurable AI-based automated conveyer feeding by a robotic system”. This work is performed jointly by EDI, HUA, BME and the goal is to develop an AI-based robotic system for packaging of organic cosmetics products for to increased productivity, efficiency, and product quality. The demo showcased the work in progress on robotic system architecture, trajectory planning using differentiable physics, Reinforcement Learning and 6D object pose estimation.
