On June 29, 2020 at 10:00, in the conference hall of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI), Dzērbenes Street 14, Riga, a seminar on the ERAF project “Satellite remote sensing- based forest stock estimation technology (WoodStock)” No. 1.1.1.1/18/A/165 will be held.
The aim of the project is to develop a cost-effective technology for estimating wood stocks in the forest, using only the increasingly widely available high-resolution optical and radar satellite data.
Seminar program
10:00 – 10:10 A.Kadakovskis. “WoodStock project goals and tasks”.
10:10 – 10:30 J.Zariņš. “Estimation of wood stock using remote sensing data”.
10:30 – 10:50 L. Gulbe. “Segmentation of forest microarrays using high-resolution satellite data”.
10:50 – 11:10 J. Siņica-Siņavskis. “Identification of tree species in Sentinel-2 images using fragmented and partially outdated inventory data”.
Anyone interested in using remote sensing data in forest management is welcomed.
Participants are asked to register HERE
It will be possible to watch the seminar live on the EDI Facebook page
