On February 18–19, 2025, researchers from the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) participated in the ECS Brokerage Event 2025, a key networking event for the European microelectronics and electronic components ecosystem, held in Brussels, Belgium.
The EDI delegation was represented by Director and Senior Researcher Modris Greitāns, Deputy Director for Development and Senior Researcher Kaspars Ozols, Senior Researcher Jānis Ārents, Researcher Pēteris Račinskis, and Research Assistant Eduards Blumbergs.
During the event, EDI representatives actively engaged in establishing new collaboration opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships with European industry and research organizations. They presented project proposals for the latest Chips JU call, including AF-IdSec and G-COMPETE. AF-IdSec focuses on advancing security solutions through AI-driven RF fingerprint authentication. G-COMPETE aims to develop autonomous robotic and industrial systems using generative artificial intelligence and secure communication solutions. EDI regularly participates in such events to foster international cooperation and drive innovation in Latvia and across Europe.
