From September 11th to 12th, 2023, Deputy Director of Development and Senior Researcher Dr. Kaspars Ozols of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) is participating in the Horizon Europe KDT-JU “Reliable Powerdown for Industrial Drives (R-PODID)” project meeting in Cesena, Italy.
During the meeting project partners discuss project implementation aspects, network and take decisions necessary for successful project realization. In addition, Dr. Kaspars Ozols presents EDI and its role in the project.
At this meeting, Mr Ozols took an in-depth interest and engaged in discussions on the R-PODID project Work package WP3 “Integration, Sensors and Middleware” and Task T3.2 “IIoT Connectivity”, where EDI is expected to devote most of its R&D resources.
Project R-PODID aims to develop an automated, cloudless, short-term fault-prediction for electric drives, power modules, and power devices, that can be integrated into power converters.
