EDI senior researcher Dr Rihards Novickis participates in the final review event of the AI4CSM (Automotive Intelligence 4 Connected Shared Mobility) project in Stuttgart, Germany. The event took place in the historic Mercedes Benz manufacturing site, where project partners demonstrated to European experts a variety of achievements in such research areas as smart connected and shared mobility, electric vehicles, in-vehicle AI, robust propulsion systems, cognitive-communication, AI-based perception, sensor fusion, and others. In the project, the EDI team developed and validated a custom hardware and software solution for an AI-based, near-field, high-resolution 360-degree perception system using Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors.
