IBM, LIAA and EDI representatives met on April 23 to discuss the
potential collaboration between IBM and the scientists of Latvia.
During the meeting Dr Modris Greitans and Leo Selavo representing EDI
presented overview about the research at the institute in general and
in wireless sensors and netted embedded systems in particular. The IBM
Business Executive Spiros Teleoglou presented the IBM research
strategy and discussed the potential collaboration opportunities with
the scientists from Latvia. Ugis Erins, CEO of IBM Latvia and Evija
Pudane, Senior project manager of the investment project department
joined the discussion. The parties came to the conclusion that the
research collaboration would be mutually beneficial and should be
discussed in more detail in near future.
