From November 29th to 30th, 2022, Deputy Director of Development
Dr. Kaspars Ozols and Scientific Assistant Oskars Teikmanis of the
Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) are participating in Europe’s leading 5G ecosystem forum “5GTechrotory”, in Riga, Latvia.
During
the event, Dr. Kaspars Ozols signed the Smart Partnership Memorandum of
Understanding for the development of the “METACITY – OUR FUTURE LIFE”
initiative, which aims to promote mutual cooperation in order to form
the METACITY smart partnership, which works towards the creation of a
new virtual space in which the virtual and physical boundaries will be
broken down, without losing physical contact with each other,
maintaining a human-oriented, complex, and inclusive environment,
accessible to any of its members at any time.
In
addition, during the event, as an invited panelist, Oskars Teikmanis
participated and expressed his opinion in the panel discussion “Research
and industry cooperation for future 6G technology”.
During the event, EDI employees also actively networked, established new contacts and got acquainted with the future vision in the fields of 5G and 6G.
